100 Days Smarter

This week was quite a busy week! We celebrated our 100th day of school, Valentines Day and Donuts with Dad. Below are some pictures from our busy week!

We started our 100th Day with special 100 Day workstations.

The children tried their best to help each other complete a puzzle with 100 pieces.

We saw how long it would take to stack 100 dominoes.

We experimented with stacking 100 cups.

We created hats that held 100 stickers.

We created necklaces that had 100 fruit loops on them.

We made a delicious trail mix that had 100 pieces in each bag!

We had a Hersey Kiss scavenger hunt- There were 100 kisses hidden around the room....

We took turns finding them...

and then matching the number on the bottom of our kiss to our 100 chart!

We answered the questions "I wish I had 100 ______" and "I would never want 100 ______"

Pre-K students traced their numbers 1-100

And kinder students wrote the numbers 1-100 all by themselves!

It was a very busy and very fun day!

Later in the week we were lucky enough to have another celebration- Valentines Day!

We started out Valentines day off with Donuts with Dad.

It was wonderful seeing so many families come to school to spend time with their children. Here are just a few of the daddies that we saw on Friday!

Later in the day we celebrated Valentines day in several ways!

We practiced our patterning with giant conversation hearts....

We used real conversation hearts to practice estimating and counting out large numbers.

We each had a cup of conversation hearts and we graphed how many of each color were in our cups!

Finally we ended the day by passing out our Valentines into some pretty creative boxes!

I hope that you and your loved ones enjoyed your holiday weekend! I know I sure loved celebrating my little ones 1st Valentines Day!
