September Information for Parents-UPDATED 9/11

Hello September!

With each new month very important papers will be coming home in Friday Folders. By now you should have received our snack calendar and the rotation schedule. I have attached them below in case you need them again.

September Rotation Calendar : This will tell you when you need to send your child to school dressed in dance clothes, if they signed up for dance, or simply what rotation class they will attend so you are informed! Wednesday is our Collaborative Planning day and there is no rotation class on this day. This means that all teachers attend a "meeting" to discuss student growth and other professional learning topics. While I am in my meeting, Mrs. Williams, the music teacher comes to our classroom and spends time with the children.

Dance classes will begin this week! If your child is interested in signing up for dance and you have not submitted your form please fill it out and submit it ASAP! On dance days your child must come to school in their dance clothes. I will not be able to dress them since I already have 8 students signed up! Please make sure that your child is able to undress themselves so that they can go to the restroom on dance days- we have MANY accidents in the beginning of the year because students do not know how to use the restroom in their dance clothes!

September Snack Calendar-UPDATED 9/11: All students have done very well so far with the snack calendar- no one has forgotten on their day! When it is your child's day to bring snack please send enough for 24 children just to be safe! So far we have had graham crackers, goldfish, cheese itz and animal crackers- the students have loved them all!
Library classes will also begin this week! Our library day is Thursday. Students will not be checking out books the first two weeks. When check out has begun your child will bring their books home on Thursdays and must return them by the following Wednesday to be able to check out another book!
-Mrs. Richardson
